I'm actually terrified of how crazy this man is.

If you haven't heard the name Lonzo Ball right now, you just haven't sat in front of a television with either ESPN, CBS, FS1, or any sports channel in the past 5 months. Lonzo Ball is the stud freshman point guard that has brought UCLA basketball to be a National Championship contender with his incredible style of play. Ball, 19, is 6'6'' and weighs in at 190 lbs, but he is a wizard with the basketball. The guy is incredible on the court. He can shoot, pass, make crazy plays look simple, and has UCLA on the verge of a National Championship run.
Ball has all eyes on him. He's projected a top 3 pick in this year's NBA draft and I would probably cut off my left hand to see the Knicks draft this guy. He would change basketball at The Garden for the better and him and KP would be so much fun to watch. As much as I would love to see it, its probably a pipe dream.
Another tidbit about Lonzo Ball, he has 2 younger brothers. LiAngelo and LaMelo, also both slated to play at UCLA. LiAngelo is a big power forward that will be playing at UCLA next season. LiAngelo is a sophomore guard at Chino Hills High School in California, so his enrollment won't be for another two years. The Ball family has incredible basketball talent, no doubt about it. The Ball's (he he he he) sound like a good family, right? They probably are. But if I'm an NBA team, I'm scared of one thing and one thing only if I draft Lonzo Ball. That would be....his father, LaVar Ball, who may actually be insane.
If you have heard of Lonzo Ball, you have DEFINITELY heard of LaVar Ball. LaVar is the father of Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo and he lets EVERYONE know that his sons are better at basketball than you. It doesn't matter if you're Steph Curry or Michael Jordan, LaVar and his sons are better than you! (according to LaVar).
LaVar ball has said some INSANE things the past two months about his sons, lets go down the list here:
LaVar Ball stated that Lonzo Ball is better than Steph Curry and if they were to switch spots, Lonzo would do more for Golden State than Steph would do for UCLA.
LaVar Ball has stated all his sons will be one and done in college....and two of them have never played a college game yet.
LaVar Ball states Lonzo Ball will have an easier time in the NBA than in college.
LaVar Ball says his son is only playing for the Lakers, then sort of clarifies.
LaVar Ball states his sons won't sign a shoe deal for less than 1 Billion dollars.
So, you think thats all crazy right. Well, LaVar Ball topped ALL of these statement yesterday.
LAVAR BALL SAID HE COULD HAVE KILLED MICHAEL JORDAN IN A 1-ON-1 GAME BACK IN HIS HEYDAY.
Please repeat that statement to your self. LaVar Ball, someone who has not played in the NBA, stated he can beat the greatest basketball player of all time. Folks, I've said some dumb things in my life, and I can admit that, but this statement may be the DUMBEST statement of all time. I seriously pray for the NBA team that drafts Lonzo because LaVar Ball might as well just take over the organization at that point. The second Lonzo doesn't start or doesn't play down the stretch of a tight game in the NBA, LaVar may make the internet world blow up. BUT, this would be such a Knicks situation to take Lonzo.
Trust me, I want Lonzo Ball more than anything, but his dad's antics may be too much. I don't know man, maybe he will scare Phil Jackson to leave as GM and force James Dolan to retire? A man could dream.
All in all, Lonzo kinda has to hate his dad right? Lonzo is quiet for the most part, but he lets his game do the talking. At one point Lonzo has to tell his dad to STFU. Only right thing to do. You do you Lonzo. And hey LaVar, keep up the golden content for all of us on the internet.
P.S. NEED to have Jordan challenge him to a 1 v 1 immediately and see the G.O.A.T. win 21-0. Don't want it, need it.
