Rangers Take 3-2 Series Lead Back To The Garden

What a game. What a game.

Last night, the Rangers went into Montreal and won a crucial game 5 thanks to Mika Zibanejad's overtime goal to give the Rangers a 3-2 win and a 3-2 overall series lead in this first round matchup. Watch the game winner in overtime below.

All I can say is wow. After the heartbreaking loss in game 2 and the non existent performance by the Blue Shirts in game 3 at Madison Square Garden, I didn't know what to think of the team after that. Were we in for another Pittsburgh series last year where we basically gave up and had the Penguins skate circles around us? Well, this time was different. A hungry Rangers team came out victorious in game 4 and after last night's overtime thriller, the Rangers are in the driver's seat to take the series at home

Now, the Rangers at home have been hit or miss all season for some reason. But The Garden rocked game 4, and needs to rock tomorrow night. 8 pm. Nationally televised game, time to end it and move onto round 2. Playoff hockey folks, buckle up!

Remember to listen to Maybe Next Year episode #12 to listen to myself and my two guests, Mike Migliaro and Drew Regino talk the Blueshirts and the NHL playoffs as a whole. (Spoiler: we were SO wrong about the Blackhawks.)
