If This Doesn't Work, I Don't Know What Will.

Ben & Jerry's announced that they will ban customers from getting two of the same scoop of ice cream at their 26 Australian locations. That is, until Australia addresses their lack of marriage equality for gay people.
In a statement, Ben & Jerry's said, "Imagine heading down to your local Scoop Shop to order your favorite two scoops of Cookie Dough in a waffle cone. But you find out you are not allowed – Ben & Jerry’s has banned two scoops of the same flavor. You’d be furious!"
First off, you gotta appreciate the level of ego behind this statement. Furious? I don't know if I'd be furious if I couldn't get two scoops of the same Ben & Jerry's flavor. Maybe like, slightly bothered for a minute. And for the record, you can get two scoops if they're different flavors, and lets be honest, if I'm getting two scoops, I'm gonna want to try two different flavors anyway.
They go on to say, "But this doesn’t even begin to compare to how furious you would be if you were told you were not allowed to marry the person you love. So we are banning two scoops of the same flavor and encouraging our fans to contact their MPs to tell them that the time has come – make same sex marriage legal! Love comes in all flavours!"
Well you know what, I can get behind that. If banning ice cream makes the world a better place then so be it! And hey at the very least, Ben & Jerry's is bringing the issue to light. I'm talking about it, and I'm not even from Australia.
So Australia, the balls in your court, let gay people get married so my good friends down under can get two scoops again, what do ya say?
